    This accredited comprehensive five-day course combines both foundation and practitioner Agile Project Management qualifications. It is designed to help students develop both the knowledge and skills required to work on an agile project and develop the understanding to apply the guidance on an agile project. The course will equip students with the competence to begin working as an agile project manager on a non-complex project. The Agile Project Management guidance used in the course is based upon DSDM’s Agile Project Framework (AgilePF) a leading and proven agile approach.

    Agile Project Management Foundation exam

    • Multiple choice format
    • 50 questions per paper
    • 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 50%
    • 40 minutes duration
    • Closed book

    Agile Project Management Practitioner exam

    The Agile Project Management Foundation certificate is a prerequisite for the Practitioner stage. Once you have completed the training, you will sit the exam:

    • Exam format – Objective examination. 4 questions (20 points per question).
    • Pass mark – 40/80 points required to pass the exam (50%).
    • Duration – 2.5 hours.
    • Open book – Yes (only the official AgilePM® manual is allowed).

    Expiry: AgilePM Registered Practitioner status expires after 5 years.

    By passing both the Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner exams, you will be showing employers that you understand the key principles and terminology within the Agile Management Foundation guidance. It also means that you will be able to understand:

    • How to apply the guidance in a project situation.
    • Configure the life cycle of an agile project to a given scenario.
    • Produce and evaluate agile products produced during a scenario.
    • Apply various agile techniques in a given scenario: MoSCoW prioritization, iterative development, modelling, time-boxing.
    • Identify agile techniques to be used for a given scenario.
    • Understand the roles and responsibilities within an agile project and correctly determine appropriate personnel to fulfil these roles.
    • Understand the control mechanisms for agile projects.
    • Understand in outline how to test, estimate and measure progress on an agile project.
    • Describe the agile approach to managing requirements and to identify problems with requirements within an agile project for a given scenario.

    AgilePM Foundation

    Agile PM Foundation training provides students with a basic understanding of the Agile Project Framework from DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Methodology). The student should understand:

    • The underpinning philosophy and principles of Agile.
    • The lifecycle of an Agile project, including alternative configurations.
    • The products produced during an Agile project and their purpose.
    • The techniques used and their benefits and limitations.
    • The roles and responsibilities within an Agile project.
    • What is needed to pass the AgilePM Foundation exam.

    AgilePM Practitioner

    AgilePM Practitioner training provides builds upon knowledge gained at Foundation level and equips students with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Agile Project Framework to apply and tailor it to a given scenario.

    The candidate should understand:

    • How to apply the underpinning philosophy and principles of DSDM in a project situation.
    • How to appropriately configure the lifecycle of an Agile project.
    • How to produce and evaluate the content of Agile products produced during an Agile project.
    • How to apply the following Agile techniques in a project situation: Facilitated Workshops; MoSCoW prioritisation; Iterative Development; Modelling; Timeboxing.
    • How to identify the Agile techniques to be used for a given situation.
    • The roles and responsibilities within an Agile project and correctly determine the appropriate personnel to fulfil these roles.
    • The mechanisms for control of an Agile Project which are specific to an Agile project.
    • How to test, estimate and measure progress in an Agile project.
    • The Agile approach to managing requirements and identify action to rectify problems with requirements within an Agile project.
    • What is needed to pass the AgilePM Practitioner exam.

    What are the Course Requirements?

    • DSDM Atern Foundation Certificate, or
    • DSDM Advanced Practitioner Certificate
