Course Overview
This programme is for anyone that wants to combat stress, develop resilience and reduce burnout, with particular appeal for those working in high performance, high pressure, high workload environments.
The sessions are practical, creative and experiential, with participants actively encouraged to share their story in the hope that they feel seen and heard without judgment; whilst those listening learn to do so with curiosity and openness. Though we hope participants enjoy the programme, we believe the true value lies in what people do with the experience.

Course content
LEARNING OUTCOMES
To be delivered in six segments, over four hours.1. Becoming aware of imposter syndrome and the inner critic.
How to identify the inner critic/wounded ego and counter it with compassion and empathy.2. Understanding the role of stress and burnout.
Identify stress symptoms, activations and triggers and how this can impact both the mind and body.3. Understanding the core principles of mindfulness.
Learning and practicing the three mindfulness skills to improve your overall emotional wellbeing.4. Coping strategies.
Exploring a range of proven therapeutic tools and skills to help reduce stress, combat anxiety and calm the body in any situation.5. Effective communication.
Improve communication and interpersonal skills with therapeutic techniques.6. Nurturing authentic relationships.

We offer both in-person and virtual training, depending on your teams’ requirements. We like to keep the numbers small so we can deliver an effective, personal and focused service.
Session Length: 4 hours (half a day)
Minimum attendees: 8 people with 1 facilitator

Trainer: Alex is an art psychotherapist (MA), with a specialism in trauma.
Currently, working in an acute psychiatric hospital as the trauma lead – whilst overseeing the art-therapy department – Alex caters to a range of patient needs, from acute to complex and is adept at providing therapy in both individual and group settings.
As a fully qualified EMDR practitioner with expertise in mindfulness and thousands of hours of clinical practice under his belt, Alex has positioned himself as an accomplished and dedicated therapist.
As a final point, he is regulated by the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and adheres to the highest standards of mental health practice.
